Since I was a child, I've always been a fanatic of aviation, but there was a special moment for me that changed my life, it was the moment when after a loud noise I looked at the sky and saw an F-18.
With the time I learnt what this plane means for the Spanish Air Force because it's the first modern fighter plane. It can reach 2000 kilometers per hour, climb up to 20.000 feets and to defend against both airborn and ground enemies. Also it's said that it's a maneuverable plane with a remarkable autonomy capacity. I remember that it was awesome, with a characteristic shape that makes it easily recogniseble.
Currently, this aircraft has had software and electronic systems improvements, which make it much more operational than it was before in order to adapt to new security threats
