A C-101 is a Spanish aircraft, which was designed in 1975 and it continues being in use.
Nowadays, only Spain and Chile have C-101 in their respective Royal Air Forces. In Spain, the C-101 is the plane that is used by the Eagle´s Patrol in their´s spectacular flights, besides it´s also used for teaching new pilots. Nevertheless, in Chile the C-101 is their main aircraft for their air defense. There are some differences between the Spanish and Chilean C-101 at their displays, that´s because the Chilean C-101 has a radar and it can shoot some types of missiles.
Nevertheless the Spanish´s ones aren´t able to shoot as
their only goal is to help improving the abilities of the Spanish pilots. In
Spain this plane is considered to be a historic plane, but it is going to be
changed by a new model in the next years, since it has been used for too much
time.
