Whereas the whole aviation industry has been evolving,
we the europeans felt the need to catch up with our friends the Chineses,
Russians or the Americans. The world of fighter planes has jumped into the 5th
generation with models like the American F22 Raptor or F35 Lightning, the
Russian MiG-35 PAK-FA or the Chinese J-20 and we have released the Eurofighter
as a try to compete with these models.
These plane is quite different to other fighter planes
we are used to see because it has two main things that makes it uncommon,
delta-type wings and two frontal spoilers which give to the plane a huge
capacity of maneuvering, very similar to the Russian planes.
Apart from the amazing maneuverability it has also an
hyper powerful engine which can make the plane reach velocities near Mach 2,
these means the plane can fly at a speed that is two times the speed of the
sound (Approximately 1235 km per hour).
Finally, other input the Eurofighter is known
for it is its modern in-flight computers and the new helmets which are
compatible with sensors that recognize if the pilot is looking forward or not
so as to send him the proper information according with the moment of the
flight.
In conclusion, the Eurofighter is an amazing machine
and personally I am very proud that our Air Force can count with them.
