Travelling around the globalized world which is the 21st earth society would be imposaible without the marvelous opportunities airplanes bring us. From flying at nearly the speed of sound to being able to gaze the awe-inspiring views of your country from the air, airplanes deserve to be took into account by modern society.

Firstly, before talking about airplanes we must describe its main parts. A pilot sited in the cockpit is able to take control of the different components like the turbine engine, allerons, flaps or landing gear, which allow the movement of the airplane in the three space axes. Besides that, a lot of physical and mental preparation is required by the pilot in order to control this, sometimes, huge flying crafts.

With all if that said, propulsion systems have evolved during the last years allowing the airplane travelling faster and covering wide distances in less time than ever. A nice example of this propulsion system could be the turboprop.

To sum up, we must emphasize the fact that airplanes have achieved an important role in our lives, something never done without the amazing job of all the engineers and scientist whose, always inestimable skills, have made it possible.
