 Nowadays most of the aircrafts which are made for the combat have amazing characteristics.

They can perform very rapid maneuver and also, they can ascend rapidly. Even as fast as a rocket.

The most import thing that they can do and that differentiates it from the common aircrafts is that they can make movements in three axes faster than any other plane.

They can roll as a missile, go up or down in an easy way or yaw if the need it.

Thanks to their powerful reactors, they can climb above the clouds in just some seconds, and then descend straight down really fast. 

Depending on the aircraft the characteristics can change. This is an important detail because these small changes can produce big differences between the fighters, especially in the air battles.

But this maneuvers are limited because, if the pilots make too strong movements, even stronger than they can resist, they can faint.

To sum up, the modern fighters are so modern machines able to do amazing things but ever with a limit.
