The aviation sector is in a continuous development and in recent years the way of flying has evolved a lot, but there are some maneuvers that still being really effective in the course of air operations. This is the case of low-level flight, which is used as an escape technique with the latest generation aircraft.
This type of flight consists of flying at the lowest possible distance from the ground so as not to be detected by radars. The skill of the pilot is a key factor in this maneuver, since the success of the mission depends on his ability to assume risk. Normally this maneuver is carried out in mountainous areas and valleys, although it is also carried out at ground level in a desert or along the coast.
Undoubtedly, it is a risky maneuver in which the pilot has to be fully focused on the mission so that the established objectives are reached. It should be noted that it is not only used with fighter planes such as Eurofighter or F18, but also with helicopters or transport planes with the same goal of not being detected by the enemy.
