 Modern aircrafts can perform countless maneuvers. Therefore, the aim of the present essay is to unfold the possible operations which could be done with a plane.

Firstly, the maneuver Immelmann, which is a highly offensive maneuver but a bad defensive one. It consists in performing a half loop and when completely inverted, it rolls to the upright position. In this way, the plane and the pilot go into the complete opposite direction.

Secondly, the defensive spiral. Another interesting maneuver that it is going to be mention. Its objective is to stay out of the phase with the attacker until being close to the ground. In this way, it is obvious that the action consists in dropping the nose of the plane low during the turn and going into a spiral. One of the most important characteristics that the plane needs is the ability to accelerate and decelerate quickly.

Lastly, the high Yo-Yo. Although it is a very difficult maneuver, its effectiveness is incredible. The attacker climbs above the defender and making a small turn it places itself behind the other aircraft.

So, in the end, although only three maneuvers are mentioned it can be seen that they don’t only need aircrafts capable of standing the turns and speed, but also pilots with the abilities to face all the situations.
