Nowadays every people know that the communication is one of the most important things, especially when we are talking about the military information.

The communication between the different units of an army must be easily understandable. So, this is the reason about the uncommon words they use to communicate with each other, for example by radio communication. Some of these words could be the words “affirmative” or “negative”, instead of use “yes” or “no”.

Another example of words they use are: “Say again”, when they need to listen again the message or on the other hand, the word “Roger”, when they listen and understand properly. Furthermore, when they want to know if the other person has received the message correctly, they say “Acknowledge”.

Also, they use the phonetic alphabet instead of using the usual alphabet. In that way the person who must listen it can understand it better.

To sum up, the communication between the different members of an army, specifically the radio communication, must be even more clear than the usual communication. For this they use different very characteristic expressions.
