Radio communications are very important in aircrafts, because pilots need to talk with the tower a lot of information, because the tower is like the eyes of the pilot, the tower guides him. 

The tower provides the pilot the necessary information to fly, like the heading or the altitude. They also use prowords in order to express different information with just one or two words, for example they use the word roger to say that they understood the message, or say again that means to repeat the previous information. This prowords and others are very useful and important to get the full information and understand it. 

But the radio communications are not only between the tower and the pilot, pilots can speak between them staying in different aircrafts. This is useful and very important to fly in formations or talk about the tactics when engaging the enemy.

In conclusion, radio communications are very important in aircrafts, between the tower and the pilot as the pilots in different aircrafts. Without this the pilot couldn’t be able to know what happens in his surroundings.
