As soon as radio was developed during 20th century, radio communications started to spread across the world of communications, transport, etc. As we already know, radio communications are crucial for the development of air combat and traffic operations since last century. But why is it so relevant?

Radio communication techniques have its origins on morse and other long distances ways of communication. For both sea and airmen, radio communications follow strict rules that lead to an optimal development of operations. A good example would be the air traffic controller communication wit the air traffic. Radio communication is the main way of organizing and coordinating an airport that has a huge amount of leaving and landing aircraft.

As it has been mentioned before, all kinds of radio communications follow some basic guidelines that could become more complex or not depending on whether the radio is used for basic operations or full complex communications like NATO military exercises, for example.

In conclusion, it is obvious that our society would not exist as it does today without radio communications included on aircrafts, just because of the lack of easy ways of coordinating and sending messages among aircrafts.
