In modern aircrafts, one of the most important parts is the radio communications, in fact, although analog navigation tools remain, the main part of the navigation is done with electronic instruments which use the radio signals to steer the plane.

Other of the principal uses of the radio communications is keep the plane in touch with the control tower. Without this constant contact, the aircraft would have difficulty knowing when to land or whether the weather conditions are adequate. The control tower also give permission to the plane to take off when the runways are free. Without radio communications, the transmission of this information would be much more difficult and dangerous situations would occur at the busiest airports.

Finally, one of the most important uses of radio aircraft is safety. When the plane has a problem, the radio communications are very important.
