We all have heard
about a plane that fights fire, but what else do you know about it? This plane
is called hydroplane, in other words it can also work as a boat, but obviously
it's not its main function, but it is a very important feature.
Some people misunderstand
who controls this airplane, some of them think that works with the Air Force
and others with the firefighters, to make it clear, it does work and
collaborates with firefighters but it's part of the Air force.
About how they
operate, when there is a fire emergency, in a forest for example, the first
thing they have to do is take off and search a place near the fire to get
water, it can be a lake; big enough for the plane, or the sea. This is one of
the most complicated part, it's hard to make a nice landing on the water,
mostly on the sea, if you do it wrong the plane can be break in half. The water
comes in in a very small holes under the plane, so no, no fish or object can
come in. The water capacity is very high. Later, they throw it over the fire,
this is the most exciting moment because it flights really near the fire.
