The MCDonell Douglas F/A-18 Hornet is a twin engine fighter and attack aircraft, which has been used all over the world by numerous nations as one of their most lethal and useful aerial weapons, since the early 1980s. It is also flown by the US Navy's Flight Demonstration Squadron, which is called the Blue Angels.
The aircraft was designed to be very versatile, so it could be used in many different situations, that is the reason why it has been so popular over the years. It can only be flown by one pilot and it carries air-to-air missiles and air-to-surface weapons. The F 18 Hornet has been modified a lot of times in the past years, as a result it was created as the F 18 Super Hornet.
In Spain, the MCDonell Douglas F/A-18 Hornet is used in Zaragoza, Canarias and Madrid.
