Currently at the AGA there are two aircraft with which students learn to fly, there is the Pillán and the C-101. The C-101 is going to be replaced in the coming years by the Pilatus.
The Pilatus is a Swiss-made training aircraft, it is a turboprop. This aircraft is considered the most advanced pilot trainer aircraft in the world. This aircraft has been sold since 2008, its first buyer was the Swiss Air Force and since then a large number of countries have decided to buy this aircraft. It has a weight of 2,270 kg and a length of 11.23 m, its maximum speed is 685 km/h and it can accommodate two people.
It is a great investment by the government of Spain since the current C-101 are a bit old, in addition the incorporation of these new aircraft will reduce the number of flight hours that future pilots need to train, since this aircraft It is much more current in terms of electronics, so it is more like the planes that pilots will fly throughout their professional careers.
