The C-130 is a transport plane that forms part of the army. It was manufactured by the year 1950 and it has worked for a lot of different countries such as Colombia or Argentina. Moreover, the first appearance of this incredible aircraft was in the United States and it amazed a lot of people.
The plane is composed of three main parts: nose, fuselage and tail.
The first part, the nose, is formed by the cockpit, where the pilot can control the instrumental panel, flight controls, rudder pedals, overhead panel and side consoles.
The second part and the most important is the fuselage, the plane’s body, where the wings and the landing gear are located. The wings have several parts which allow the plane to stay in the air and maintain flight over the sky. These parts are flaps, some ailerons and four turbine engines.
Finally, I’m going to talk about the tail, which is the heaviest part of this huge machine. If we look at the back part of a plane, we would be able to see the rudder, the vertical and horizontal stabilizer and, last but not least, the elevator
