Helicopters are becoming more and more important in the military aviation industry due to different reasons, such as their fast deployment or their ability to carry out air-to-ground missions of all kinds. For these reasons, armies, including the Spanish Air Force, try to renew their helicopters with new ones such as the NH90.
With a rotor blade length of 16 meters and a fuselage based on aluminium, it reaches a maximum flight height of 8000 meters. It has a double control cockpit, because although it can be controled by only one pilot, it needs two to be fully operational.
The NH90 is truly designed to operate in adverse weather conditions, both day and night, allowing it to be effective in conflict or war zones. The best thing is its load capacity, which allows transporting up to 3 tones of cargo and up to 20 soldiers fully equipped to combat.
