Since I was a Little boy, I liked aviation in general . this ambition is due to my father, who is a helicopter pilot of the air force.My father has flown three types of helicopters including the UH-1H and the huges;however, from my point of view , the coolest helicopter is the superpuma.
The superpuma is a search and rescue helicopter, which is used to rescue people. This helicopter entered in service in spain more tan 20 years ago, and it is used in the different wings of the spanish air force: 801 and 802 .
Talking about his characteristics , i can said that the superpuma doesn´t have tail skid and skid, it has a landing gear like a plane.Furthermore, I can remark that the Blades of the Puma rotate from left to right. The cowling of the motor is one of the biggests in the world. The lenght of the tail boom measures 8 meters and is capable of supporting heavy storms.
In conclusion , the Superpuma is probably the best polyvalent helicopter of the Spanish air force and I fully recommend the cadets of the AGA to fight for fly this incredible machine.
