Aircraft refueling is a serious task
carried out by trained aircraft mechanics. Refueling an aircraft is a
process where trained personnel carry out a task to fill an aircraft with fuel
in order to enable the aircraft to continue its journey.
Nowadays, there are two types of
refueling in one hand we have pressure refueling that is normally used in big
aircrafts such as the Boeing 747 and it consists on pressurizing the fuel
inside the plane. In the other hand, we have gravity refueling which it is used
for smaller aircrafts like for example the Cessna, this one consists in pouring
the fuel through the deposit entrance without any pressure.
Refueling is a task that can also be
carried out during the flight, this allows planes to keep their course and stay
more time in the air. It is actually a difficult maneuver for pilots because
they have to maintain the pitch and the jaw very well because if not they could
cause an accident between the plane that carries the fuel and them. This
maneuver consists in adjusting the plane to a flying fuel hose.
