When airplanes are going to land, to take off, or even if they are in the sky, pilots ought to
talk with control tower to make knowledge about their position, the direction they are following or if they have any trouble with the plane. These conversations between pilots and control tower are called radio communications.
Radio communications are the most important thing in a flight due to the fact that, in case they don’t exist, aircrafts will crash and it would be a terrible mess.
When a pilot talks directly to someone who is at the control tower, they use a specific vocabulary called prowords. This type of words could be over,which you use when you finish saying what you want to communicate to the other person, affirmative, when you agree or negative if you disagree. Also, someone could ask you your position and, through coordinates and using the phonetic alphabet you have to send it clearly.
In conclusion and as far as I’m concerned, radio communications have a huge importance both for the pilot and for the controller who is checking the flight. Without them, I’m sure that flying will not be the same as now.
