I could say that communication is one of the most important things in the world and we know it because since ancient times, the time that the messenger, riding a horse, spent to deliver the message to his friend’s army could determine the path of the battle. This fact has been maintained through time but adapted to modern technologies and to different purposes, such as modern wars, stock market, new sales, etc. But what about radio communications in aircrafts?
During flights, communication with other planes and with the control tower is a very important thing because, apart from other things, a plane usually carry people, important materials or guns. So any little mistake in communication or misunderstanding can be fatal in many aspects. That is why simple phrases and words like “roger that” that means “I have received the message”, “please repeat the message” or “wilco” that means “I received the message and I am about to start the procedure” can facilitate the communication and in the end accomplish the mission the best correctly possible.
To sum up, we can say radio communications are very important and that they develop and improve with time.
