The helicopter is one of the best aircraft human race has invented due to his speed in takeoffs and landings which is very important in dangerous and combat areas.
All helicopters can be divided in two big parts, the tail boom which is the responsible of vertical and horizontal movements and the cockpit which is the part where pilots go in.
Above the cockpit we can find the cowling which covers the engine from external damage and the mast which hold the swashplate and the rotor blade. These two parts are fundamental for the flight because the first one controls the angle of flight and the second one the power.
Despite the fact that the tail boom can seem an unessential part, it holds the tail rotor and the synchronized elevator who provides him with the enough balance to fly. Last but not least important, all helicopters have a skid which allows them land in any zone and in consequence to be the fastest aircraft when we talk about rescuing people.
In conclusion the helicopter is a complex aircraft who stands out for his speed in takeoffs and its capacity of entry in hostile terrains.
