Aircraft are made of several diferent machines, one who tell us our height, the radio, that lead us to comunicate with the control tower of the airport, or with other pilots, the one who tell us how much fuel we have, etc… 

So, why radio communications are important in aircrafts?. First, we have to know that there are many types of its. The most important one, and the one who its is commonly used is the he VHF. This radios are limited to line of sight transmissions; therefore, aircraft at higher altitudes are able to transmit and receive at greater distances. 

This powerful radio, as I said, allow us to comunicate wherever we are with the airplane. Also this radio allow us to communicate in all the positions of the plane,either if its using the yaw, pitch and  the other exes. So it doesn´t mind how o where its the plane, that you´ll be able to comunicate whit it.

So, as we see, the comunication is a very important tool for the air trafic, because if planes couldn´t communiccate beetween them or instead whit the control tower, plane accidents would increase a lot.
