 To start with, radio communications are one of the most important factors in a flight, as it is the only way to transmit information between different aircrafts and between the plane and the control tower.

Before starting any flight, we must make sure that communication with the tower is reliable, since without that communication we are lost. The control tower is the one that gives us all the necessary information for our flight, such as the runways that are in service, or the air areas that are occupied. Radio communication is a vital part of every mission. 

Putting ourselves in an emergency situation, radio communication can save our lives in an emergency in flight, since from the tower they can help us make decisions at that critical moment. In this situations, we use prowords, which provide quick ways to communicate longer messages. 

A delay or miscommunication can be the difference between life and death, so we use support tools like the phonetic alphabet, which uses a different word for each letter of the alphabet. For example, the letter B is related to the word "Bravo". 

In short, radio communications are essential for all flights and a failure can be fatal.
