The C-130 Hercules is a transport aircraft that stands out for its graet load capacity. And althoug there are other larger models, its relationship between price and capabilities has made it one of the most used aircraft in the military field.

That plane has got four turboprop engines. The cockpit is in a double height abovee the nose. The landing gear is composed of eight weels, capables of landing on all type of surfaces.

In an airplane of this size, the wings, ailerons and elevators, as well as the stabilizing surfaces such as the vertical and horizontal stabilizer are large and resistant.

Finally, the wings have large fuel tanks inside them that make this aircraft capable of long-distances travel.

Due to its great features, this aricraft has been the most important in Spanish military air transport for many years, from the 70s to the present, which is still in use. Although in recent years it is beginning to be replaced by the A400, a plane that is called to be its successor in the European military transport. In any case, that plane has made history and will be remined.
